HOW DOES MEMBERSHIP WORK AT KING'S?

Interested in pursuing membership at King’s? We believe that the Bible points believers toward membership in a local church for encouragement, growth, protection, and instruction. We seek to carry out this vision through the following membership pathway:

1. START THE PROCESS

Ways to begin the process includes filling out a blue Connect Card, speaking to a pastor at one of our worship services, or by contacting our church office.

2. ATTEND A PASTOR’S DINNER MEETING

This a one-meeting class that happens every other month. It is an evening of good food and practical information.

It is designed to help you get connected and take a next step at King’s. Here you will learn how King’s operates, how to get involved in a Move group,  and meet our pastors.

Completion of this class is a requirement for membership at King’s but anyone who would like to learn more about our church is encouraged to attend.

3. FULFILL MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Membership at King’s requires every member to experience salvation before participating in believer’s baptism. Prospective members can join King’s in one of three ways:  1) believer’s baptism by immersion, 2) Statement of faith in Christ, 3) Request of a membership letter from a former church. After a prospective member attends the Pastor’s Dinner, a pastor will set up a meeting with them to talk about baptism or their statement of faith (if needed) and help them connect to one of our MOVE groups.

4. THE FINAL STEP OF THE MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

Once the Pastor’s dinner is complete along with any baptisms and meetings that may be necessary, the prospective members are voted into our membership by the congregation as a whole.
